In case you needed a sweet lil morning tea treat. This slice is giving off all the cute strawberry shortcake vibes.
Ingredients:
2 smashed bananas
1 cup of sliced strawberries
1.5 scoops of protein powder* (~45g)
1 tbsp of sugar/sweetener (I used stevia)
1/2 cup of flour
1 tsp of baking powder
1 tsp of cinnamon
1/2 cup of almond milk
1 tsp of vanilla
2 tbsp of tahini (or sub for a nut butter)
Method:
1. Preheat your oven to 180C / 350F and line a brownie disk with baking paper
2. Add your smushed banana, almond milk and tahini to a medium bowl. Whisk/ stir until thoroughly combine
3. Add the protein powder, flour, baking powder, and cinnamon on top of the wet ingredients. Lightly stir the baking powder into the flour and then fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until everything is fully combine
4. Fold in the strawberries and leave some to place on top for *aesthetics*
5. Pour mixture into the prepped baking disk and bake for 30 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.
*I used whey protein powder, I am not sure how this would work with a plant based protein. You may also not need sugar depending on the sweetness of your protein
