HOMEMADE KIND BARS

Copycat homemade KIND bars! These are the ultimate snack for all nut lovers so count me and my fam in. They are packed with the delicious nuts and make for the perfect afternoon energy boost. Homemade just means you can skip all the preservatives and bs that come in store bought bars.

METHOD

Preheat the oven to 350F

1 cup walnuts

1 cup peanuts

1/2 cup macadamia nuts

1/2 cup almond cashew mix

1/4 cup flaxseed

1/4 cup hemp seeds

1/2 cup rice crisp cereal stuff

Toast the nuts in the oven for 8ish minutes at 350F. Once toasted place the nuts in a bowl and add the flaxseed, hemp seeds and and cereal.

WET

1/2 c maple syrup

1/3 c of monk fruit sweetener, or other sweetener of choice

1/4 of water

1 tsp of vanilla

In a small pot add the maple syrup, sugar, water and vanilla. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil for 5-10 minutes. Then pour the syrup over the nuts and place this mixture in a lined baking tray. Using the bottom of a glass press the mixture down into the tray and make sure all the nuts are tightly packed. Bake for roughly 10 mins at 350F.

Allow the slice to cool at room temperature for at least 1/2 an hour and then cut them up into bar shapes. Place the bars in the fridge to completely cool, this will allow them to completely set. Keep these bad boys stored in the fridge. The nut bars will last a few weeks.

ENJOY :)
